The Harlow Architectural Design Awards 2016 were officially launched this week, with a well-attended event at Parndon Mill, Harlow’s creative hub. Trophies from the town, for the town
Local Artists Jon Lewis and Ewa Wawrzyniak are hand-crafting glass trophies to be presented to winners in both award categories. Both Jon and Ewa are based at Parndon Mill, Harlow’s creative hub, and have been commissioned by Harlow Civic Society to base their designs on Harlow’s original town hall, with its distinctive barrel vaulted roof.
Your chance to vote for the best buildings in Harlow
Harlow’s unique post-war architecture is to be officially celebrated for the first time, with the launch of a new public competition this month. Organised by Harlow Civic Society and sponsored by Places for People, the Harlow Architectural Design Awards (HADAs) aim to recognise the very best in residential and non-residential buildings in the town, as well as encouraging excellence in the design of Harlow’s future developments.
